I've been told that we need to limit the amount of castles and cathedrals we visit on our trip or we'll quickly get sick of them. So far, I've marked a few, but I'd love any suggestions for the must-visit castles and cathedrals of Europe.

In terms of castles Michael and I really enjoyed an amazing drive through 'Cathar Country' in France. The scenery was beautiful and there were these big rocky castle ruins on top of the hills. I'm really scared of heights so i didn't go up, but even just the drive was lovely!! here are our pics... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150210619019756.329178.706904755&type=1 Michael's favourites were Chateau de Queribus (near Maury) and Peyrepetuse! (hope i spelt that right...) For a fantastic drive I'd suggest going back to the main road via the Gorges du Galamus as well!!
